After doing some searching I came up with this setup using the factory radio.

Front doors: JL Audio vr600-csi
Rear doors: JL Audio vr600-cxi
Rear deck: Polk db840
Amp: JL Audio a4300

I was going to install two amps, one for the doors and one for the subs. I was also thinking of installing a JL Audio cl441dsp cleansweep.

All comments are welcome.:cartman:

I believe JL makes 3 different series, vr, tr, and xr. I think the Tr's have a crossover which is always good. I would choose something with crossovers built in for sure.

The vr600-csi includes a crossover for the tweeters. Crutchfield advised me to use the components in both the front and rear doors, but I did not want to install another set of tweeters somewhere in the back. According to their website the vr600-cxi's do not fit our cars, but I talked to one of their techs and they told me that they will fit. The only thing that I don't understand is that they show these as being 6 1/2", but when I search around for a better price, other sites are showing these as 6". So what are they?

I wouldnt put any more power to the existing subs(or aftermarket),they will just rattle the damn deck apart.Bad location, and its hard to find free air subs, not that they are efficient anyway.

but the door choices sound good

I went with a 2 section box and 10's,so did a few other members and we are all very happy! Only bummer is loss of space, but our trunk is huge anyway,so...

What did you do with the existing speakers on the back deck, left them or removed them?

I looked around and found these free air subs that should work.

I just don't want to take up a lot of space in the trunk because my wife is expecting our second child and will need all the room I can get for all the baby's stuff.
