I haven't been keeping up with the V-6 side. I met up with a local dude with a PBM sedan and he was asking about making it louder. I see Solo is working on an axle back, but are there any other options?

Everything that fits on the GT should fit on the V6 version. Even adding the stock GT muffs to the V6 is an improvement IMO.

I believe there is a size difference between the V6 and GT exhausts. The solo kit should be out very soon.

Not sure why you would say that, unless you are just trying to incite a negative response from the V6 owners in which case we kindly ask that you refrain from such comments.

If you do have proof that the GT exhaust provides a performance increas to the V6, then please share the knowledge.

While the GT has a slightly larger pipe diameter and different rear mufflers, the system will bolt in to a V6 as has been done by several people.


As far as a performance increase, no documented increase has been posted that I have seen.

As said, Solo is making a muffler and even they state it has a minimum performance increase at best. It mostly just changes the exhaust note. But it does apper that they have found a solution to the dreaded 1500 RPM drone that has plagued many others.

this SOLO muffler yout talking about. what kind of tone are we expecting. a deep smooth note? or high pitched ricer tone? Im hoping for a lower german type of tone.

The only improvement your going to get out of this is the appearance coming out of the back end,4 tips instead of 2.The stock V6 sounds better than the stock GT.The GT is so quiet it kinda makes me ill.At least the V6 growls inside the cabin.Wait for SOLO to make the proper mufflers for the six.:judge:
