I had my G8 GT tinted today, along with the front end Clearmask installed. For the tint I went with 3M 20% in the rears, and 70% up front. The front may not be 3M as they do not offer a 70% film. In any event, it matches and looks perfect. Out here in California, the fronts should have zero tint, however 70% gives you just a bit of darkness, along with the UV protection. I think it looks a lot better than just having dark rear windows and nothing on the fronts.

For the Clearmask from Xpel, I had the Bumper, front of hood, scoops, mirrors, front of fenders, the headlights, and foglights protected. It's not cheap, but it looks alright. You can see it if you're looking for it, but in casual passing you wouldn't notice it much. It has a 7 year warranty against defect, peeling, or discoloring.

Now I wait for my 20" Matte Grey Breytons to get here, and the Magnaflow exhaust. :)

Your G8 has got to win the award for the highest polish! Unfortunately it's hard to evaluate the tint through the reflections. I've been considering tinting... so if you get a chance to takes some pics in different light please post them. Some wet sanding might help ;)

lol. The car has no wax on it at all. I didn't do any detailing since I knew I was doing to have the mask done. I know the reflections are bad, I will get some better pictures tomorrow.

I hate to be nosey but was the Clearmask expensive? Also, does 3M make Clearmask? Lastly, try Collinite Marque d'Elegance for the wax, it's out of this world.

Clearmask is not cheap. You can check out http://www.xpel.com for the kit pricing, plus labor to install it. They had my car from 9am until 5:15pm and it was being worked on almost the entire time for my tint and masking job. It came out good.

I know I'm new here but I have to say that I love the stock 19 inch wheels. If anyone feels the same way please let me know.

The stock wheels are nice, but I just replaced them today. I added a new pic above.
