Does anyone make a drag style 19" wheel for G8s? I had in mind something like CenterLine Auto Drags (they only come in 14 and 15").

Why a 19" drag wheel. I know they make 18's in some styles.

Cuz I have 19s now. Could go to 18s I guess, really didn't realize the lack of choice in 19" wheels and tires when I chose my packages.

What is required these days to calibrate the speedo after changing wheel size? Used to be a gear in the tranny but I expect its in the ECM or TCM these days?

If you try to maintain the nominal tire diameter, you won't have to have it calibrated. However, you are correct on the ecm/tcm calibration. It can be done with a tech II

DashHawk too you think (Tech II mighty pricey)?

No. I have a Dashhawk. It doesn't have that capability.

k, thanks. Plan to get a DashHawk when I buy my tune so was hoping. I can always get the wheel cal done at a dealer if I change wheels. Wheels are pretty much wishful thinking right now, just imagining how sweet she would look with a set of CenterLines...

This is 2008, not 1978, drag style wheels would look retarded on this car. 17" is the biggest drag styled wheel you're going to find and even then they're not made in the right bolt pattern/offset for this car.

Right, I guess I forgot to ask to ask your opinion before deciding what I like looks best.

Try searching Greg Weld. Not sure if that's what you're looking for, but he used to make Weld drag wheels before they were bought out.

Wow. He offers only 2 styles in his "Racelite" line, but the Star looks mighty nice. Star wheel (http://www.gregweld.com/brands/styles/?bid=2&id=6) I know they are not the right BP & offset, but with the G8's 14mm studs, adapters might be a possible solution. Skulte (http://www.skulte.com) could easily make some & use 14mm studs for the wheels to bolt to. For some odd reason, the link doesn't seem to work. I know it's right, it just doesn't seem to work. :dunno:

I'd be shocked if you found a 19 inch drag style rim. Even more, talk about pricey to have one made.....

But yeah, gag IMO too...

i think some old-school muscle car rims would look pretty good, and they come in sizes up to 24" now!

I did notice in my latest Summit catalog they have the Greg Weld 5 star wheels in 20x8 20x9 and 20x10.5 sizes but do not have the proper bolt pattern or lug size since they require special lugs.
