I plugged my power inverter into the 12V plug in the cubby under the armrest, and when I went to remove it, the plug sleve came out with the inverter. I had to use one hand and hold onto the sleve, and pull my inverter off. After wards I pushed the sleve back in. It's almost like there is nothing preventing it from sliding out. I can reach in there and pull the sleve out with my index finger. Here's a pic:

Certainly shouldn't be normal. Haven't tried mine yet...

No that is far from normal.

Maybe you should twist it when you push it back in to lock it in.

I've used mine several times with tight fitting plugs and never had it do that for me.
