Hey guys, well I am soon to receive all of my components for my custom exhaust setup. Now that I think about since the O2 sensors are in such a weird place if I swap the cats for high flows will I throw a code?

Does anybody know or has it been done?

i am sure it can be done. i dont think it would throw a code. i removed the cats on my camaro and delted the back 2 o2 sensors with hptuners. i would assume that replacing them with high flow ones will not cause a problem though, but you wont know until you do it.

If you keep the 02s the same distance or as close to it as possible, the cat. efficiency should register the same as long as they are not cheap / race style converters.

I am working on some metallic subtrate Performance Catalysts but as far as O2 positions go, so-called OS trigger timing by position alone is waste of time UNLESS you knwo the flow rates are identical. There is much more to P0420-P0430 than simply position and loading of the catalyst.

It's likely it will throw a code, we can work with you on this as part of a tune or update to an existing tune. Let us know if we can be of any assistance to you!
