I am noticing that when I am at a dead stop and I try to go I get a bit of hesitation. Once I take off, I'm gone.LOL. But there is a sluggish feeling at take off. Any ideas? No lights have come on and I have been putting in Plus gas since I bought her two weeks ago. Is this something you all think I should call the dealership on?? Thanks for any advise:)

Have you checked to see what mode the trans is in?

I'm no authority on the subject as i do not own one myself (yet), but from what I understand the G8 GTs have 3 different transmission settings: Normal mode for general in-town driving, Sport mode for quicker shifts, and the "manual" setting aka trip-tronic ****ing via the + - area of your shifter.
If your trans is set to normal and you punch it, it make take longer to respond vs the sport mode. Check out the manual if you're uncertain as to what mode your trans is currently set to.
Hope this helps :)

I'm in normal shift as I am just bopping around town. I hit lots of lights and stop signs. So, I guess I should not worry:) Thanks

These cars do not like to sit in traffic for too long. Mine is a little hesitant to take off in that situation. Once I get the rpm's up a little, it's gone.

Mine is always very responsive off the line.
That said, there seems to be a fine line in throttle management for just regular, about-town takeoffs. A bit too much throttle and the thing grabs 1st gear and takes off like a scalded cat. A bit too little throttle and the car immediately upshifts into 2nd gear and feels a bit sluggish 'till the revs come up. Somewhere in the middle is a sweet spot where you can get it to stay in 1st without being too heavy-footed.

thats what i found out at the track last weekend. once the car gets going, it pulls like crazy. but right off the line, takes a while to get those 4,000lbs going lol

in sport mode does it shift by itself or do you have to do it. cuz mine revs up like crazy and im scared to let the rpms go to high and mess something up.

It will shift or it will hit the rev limiter, so your safe.

The reason its sluggish off the line is because of torque management which is in place so you don't break anything. I believe a member here said he had his tuner turn it off and he was spinning them in 2nd.
