: 2008 IOM for $21K?
z28man 05-20-2010, 06:59 PM I sold my 1997 Z28 camaro in less than 24 hours, huge relief, so now I'm ready to take the plunge on a G8. I had an 09 G8 lined up with a member from this board, but they backed out last minute. This G8 has 30K miles on it and is less than 200 miles away. Has sport and premium package, flowmaster, HID lights, and tint. The seller might even be on this board. So, is this an alright deal? It's the best price I could find for a rare color that's close enough that I can drive to and pick up pretty easily.
r33pwrd 05-20-2010, 07:03 PM where are yoy located? mine is for sale :)
z28man 05-20-2010, 07:31 PM In Tallahasee, FL. The only G8 listed in my town is WAY overpriced. I didn't see your car listed for sale in the car sale forum? Got pics and info listed anywhere?
r33pwrd 05-20-2010, 09:14 PM man im along ways away from you :) I have not listed it on this forum because I do not have a picture of it with my screen name in the picture. but you see my signature and if your ok shipping a car from Washington shoot me a PM. The car is in perfect condition :)
StickyBuns 05-22-2010, 12:24 AM Does it have blue tooth and or a spare tire.
z28man 05-26-2010, 11:46 AM The owner wasn't sure about bluetooth and it didn't have a spare since the tires are runflats.
I really wish I could have bought one new when all the incentives were going on. For a couple thousand more could have had a brand new G8GT, oh well. I guess the limited availability of these cars is what is driving up the used car prices so much.
steveua 05-26-2010, 10:22 PM no bluetooth for 2008 and early 2009. No spares unless owner added one.
orangeg8 05-30-2010, 02:25 PM I paid 20,500 for my IOM G8GT. Base model one, with 10k miles, you are getting a steal if it is premium package, and people are selling it for 25k plus too. Go for it, IOM is the best color anyway.
jaxredg8 05-31-2010, 10:13 PM Go for it. I mean its not liquid red but its still cool... Just kidding Orange..
z28man 06-02-2010, 07:32 PM Well I took the plunge, picked her up last Sunday. What an amazing car she is, and the color really is cooler than I thought it would be. If it's overcast or night, it's more of a burnt orange. In the sun, the metallic comes alive and it's more of a true orange. The feel is completely different from the torquey LT1, much smoother and more refined. I think I'll be getting the SC tune soon so I can reduce the torque management some. I get excited every chance I get to drive it. I probably could have paid a bit less given the year and miles, but this particular G8 is well worth what I paid.
cozbyrt 06-04-2010, 07:56 PM We need pictures! Oh...and congrats on the purchase!

Ya I had my eye on it for a while. I've been washing every week thus far, spent a small fortune on cleaning supplies. I'll try to get some pics up soon. I've got some plans in the works for her, funds permitting though. Having a newborn at the house is an expensive venture in and of itself!
Richard Craneum 06-20-2010, 11:19 PM I do not know if still around but in Tulsa OK (GM dealer) they had a white one with about 4,700 miles for $25,000 The other was gray for about $23,000 and 12,000 miles no premium package, mine is black and had 24,000 miles and paid $21,000 financed $19,000 with 4 more years on Bumper-to-Bumper warranty. All those G8 including mine are GTs
The other 2 red ones are V6s
