: I got a 3M paint protector clear bra installed last night. G8V8 06-04-2008, 07:03 AM I had it installed by Skip, owner of PFT, LLC. He did a great job installing it. It covers the bumper and airdam, front portion of the hood, and front side of the mirrors. Also included headlight and fog light protectors and he protected the top face of the rear bumper at the trunk opening. If you are looking for this service in Northern VA, he does great work. My friend is the manager at the Ferrari dealership in NJ and he says the company they use only uses 3M film. That's the stuff on the Ferrari's and Maserati's (at least coming out of NJ). G8V8 06-04-2008, 09:23 AM It is a clear, 8 mil think film that does a great job reducing the number of stone chips. It is also much easier to clean off bug bodies. You can wax it, etc. I had it on my 04 GTP and after 4 years and 50K miles, there were no stone chips in the areas protected. It was $850. I've seen it a bit cheaper but Skip is moble (he did it at 5:00 at my house, took 2 1/2 - 3 hours) and a perfectionist. GXPaycheck 06-04-2008, 09:27 AM Does he have a website? If you have your own paintbooth then you don't need the clear bra. :) That's just my opinion... | ||
