We should ask the moderators to start a sticky thread for people and cities who own DashHawks that are willing to share their time to help with VMS tune installs and the crank relearn. members could just post their city and others could email or PM them easily. Just a thought. By the way, I'm in Rochester, NY and I would be willing to help with crank relearns.

Related to this topic: I plan to hard-wire my Dashhawk in, cable will be routed so as to be not easily removable. I would be willing to get an extra cable in order to help out my Hawkless friends but I can't seem to find a source. Anyone?

I have not tried it (since I don't need to), but according to the manual, anyone with the latest version of HP Tuners should be able to do CASE re-learns...

I just took mine to the dealer. They did the crank relearn and did not even question on why it needed done. It did not cost me a dime.

I asked a local dealer yesterday, they wanted $75.

I just took it in and said that the check engine light was on. They fixed it and sent me on my way. All under warranty. They also threw in some touch up paint just in case I got any rock chips.

Anybody in Northern Virginia available to relearn my crank?

Only the ones who went with the new ECM option need to.

Have one here in Clayton ,S. Jersey . A GM Tech 2 will also do a crank relearn. As Wreck pointed out you only need to do this when you replace your Ecm.

What that means , if you have removed and replaced your original ECM with another ecm you should do a crank relearn which can be done with a Dash Hawk or GM TechII I tjink HPTuner can also do this.

I don't have a dash hawk but I can do it with my HP Tuners setup in the Tampa area.

Got one in Lander Wyoming. Even us high country folk love long legs.
The crank relearn is not that big a deal. I had to do mine about 6 times before it took. But if you look on the internet that is usually what may be needed. I used the dashhawk after upgrading the software and never read the manual. Very good tool for the average user.

I am a tech at a independent repair shop on the nw side of Chicago and have my own tech 2 and candi module. I would be happy to do any case or crank relearns in return for a HiSpeed ride along :driving:
