O.K.,
I'm going to pull the trigger on some new wheels. I thought it would be good to start a thread to solidly verify the parameters we need to stay in for aftermarket wheels. Please fill in the missing data:

Bolt circle: 5/120
Lug: 14mm /1.5 ? (is this correct)
Hub: ?
Front wheel width: 8 - 9 inches ?
Rear wheel width: 9 - 10 inches ?
Front Offset: 38-48 ?
Rear Offeset: 38-54 ?

Thanks for the input!

I'm running a 19x8 w/ 40mm BS on the front, and a 19x9.5 rear w/ 40mm BS as well. You do need to roll the lip on the rears - at least with a 285 you do.

Do you have any pics of the rear tires showing how far they stick out?
On the rear are you running the 285/40?
On the front are you running 245/40 or 255/40?

I would be looking at this set-up too. Pictures would be great.

I think you're talking about offset, not backspace, which are related, but only when taking wheel width into account.

Since the stock wheels & tires have a 48 offset on an 8" wheel, if you get a 50-55 (or higher) offset on the rears when going aftermarket, you won't have any fender rolling to do.

What about center bore diameter? Does this make a difference too? Aren't you required to get hub rings if there is a difference, otherwise suffer vibrations?

I'm asking because I don't know and it would seem important if it is true.

This is why I started this thread. I would like to know this as well. Having all the wheel parameters when ordering wheels would be great.

Some one has to have some more info on the 19" staggered setup.
Can someone post some pics of the 19" x 9.5" back wheels. I am ready to order some wheels and tires but don't want to get the wrong ones.

Installed the 20's I had sitting in the garage. Sorry for the bad pics I took them with a JVC Camcorder.
The wheels are 20x8.5 with a 34 et
The tires are 255/35/20

Now I know that I am going to get the 19x8 et40 up front and the 19x9.5 et45 in the back. I am going to leave the same tires up front the 245/40/19. The only thing I don't know is if I should get the 285/40/19 or the 285/35/19.

Those 20's look Getto..

No wait, I remember that toy car I had with the big wheels when I was a kid.

I just installed those two to see how far they poked out. They are front wheel drive wheels and the hub hole on the wheel is about a 1" bigger than the hub on the car.
