I've been reading on here a while but haven't ever posted. I'm looking to pick up a G8 and am now just searching for the right deal. I'm in the Michigan area if anyone has a nice '08 out there!

I actually sold my last car and picked up a fun car in the mean time. I had looked at G8's then and thought I was over them, but after more thought I think they're the perfect fit for me. I think what I'm going to do is find the G8 I'm looking for (easy, right?) and sell the toy (turbocharged LS1 in a '89 Toyota Supra)

I do have one question. What's the deal with all of the rental/lease cars out there? I've looked at all kind of different cars before but none had as many of the rental/lease deals as the G8. Is it something you should stay away from?

Scratch the question. I kind of answered it myself after searching around.

So the general consensus is there is none. Some people hate the idea, some say it doesn't matter at all. I ask because I'm looking at an '08 premium package with mid 30k miles for $18,500. I don't have an issue with the rental ones myself and as a few had pointed out the warranty is transferable. He's actually going to bring it to his local dealership and have them do a complete once over on the car and report the details to me, which makes me feel better about it.

Mine had 13,500 miles on it, i figured there couldn't have been much more thrashing done to it than I would have done to it if I bought it new.

I do own an '04 Grand Prix that had 80,000 miles on it when I bought it in Dec. '05. I won't be doing that again.
