Does anyone know if they are selling the Eibach Pro kit springs for our cars yet. (Part# 38137.40)
Does anyone know how much it will lower the front and rear of the car?

Haven't seen them for sale. Sears sells them, but they don't even have our car in the computer.

Check any of the parts sites that sell online. You'll find out if they are available. I doubt it though.

the drop should be right arounf 1.25 front and rear.
Total cost for springs/shocks and labor if you can't do it yourself might be right around 2.5K? That should include the wheel alignment as well.

On my wife' 06 Jetta on 19's I got the springs for $200 from Tire Rack and installed them my self on the stock struts/shocks. The drop on the Pro Kit for the Jetta was 1.2" Front and 0.5" in the Rear. The cars stance was really nice not to low and the ride was really good also.

I spoke with Eibach late April, they claimed they would have them available late May or early June. I had planned to call them back next week. I will post when I get an answer from them on Monday. I want the Eibach also, I've had them on several cars including my 300 that I traded in on my g8gt. So, hopefully they'll be out soon. I also have purchased springs from tirerack, good guys and fast shipping.

Yes I have but I will not have the money for them right now that is why I wanted the Eibach springs.
Maybe by the time I have the money there will be some nice coil overs for our car.

Tex,
Read my comments after my Pedders install in this thread:
http://www.g8board.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3420

Part way through it i refer to the bilsteins and eibachs I put on a 2004 GP. They worked really well, a LOT better than the OEM Comp G set-up, but I see now that the Pedders springs and shock/strut combination works better. Both gave improved handling but the pedders is more compliant. Perhaps the spring rates and dampng rate are better matched to the application. I wouldn't know from spring rate and damping rates. For the GP, i got what ever each company sold. The chassis are different so it is not exactly apples to apples but I was impressed that the Pedders could by comfortably firm, provide excellent road feel and feedback and not be harsh at all. BTW, NJ roads suck and Pedders handled them very nicely. No bone jarring KaBooms.

Just my $0.02 worth.

How much did the setup run you?

I don't know if I'd want to lower the nose of the car anymore then it is. I have a hard enough time getting in and out of driveways as it is.

That and I am worried about driving it in the snow... I hope it's not 1.25 front AND rear... :(

The eibachs on my '04 GP lowered it about 1 1/4" front and rear. with the pedders lowering springs the G8 came down about .7" front and about 1.2" rear.

Same here. I'll be snow driving my G8. I don't feel like plowing with it, so I'm leaving it at stock ride height. It handles just fine for me where it sits. Plus, its NOT my toy car. I have another car, that will ride low and hard.

And the cost for the Pedder's is? I'm sure it's on here somewhere but I think it's nice to have a price comparison if you don't mind sharing what it cost you.:) I like that drop a lot more than 1.25" if it in fact is that.:(

Cheers,
Chris

I don't know if they sell parts individually, but their "total" package is like $4000 installed.

They have a number of packages and I THINK they also sell some individual parts like springs and struts but it would be best to drop Pedders a note to find out. I would use the springs with their struts and shocks. They seem very well matched to each other.

I'm scraping the black plastic air deflector a little up and down driveways. Since I'm taking it easy, it's getting a little shorter every time. :)

Assuming the purpose of this is the same as it used to be, if you knock it off you'll overheat....

Theres no chance of me knocking it off. I'm careful with my lowered G8.
