hottexhaust is delivering mine this coming Friday, will take about 3 weeks total after ordering to get in. When i called they said no one stocks the exhaust and must get their orders filled after each production run at Magnaflow. hottexhaust had the best price so I went with them.

I ordered my exhaust from Hottexhaust on 5/18 and received it on 6/4. With the help of a friend, it took less then 2 hours to install and the car sounds great. Neither of us had installed a Cat-back system before. The audio/video clips on the web do not give the exhaust system justice. $575 shipped. Can't beat that.

I am debating between the Magnaflow and Borla. How does the exhaust sound from inside the car? Do you get a drone at any RPMs or under loads or going up hill at a constant speed?

I am looking for something that sounds good, and I don't care if it is a little louder inside the car but I hate the drone. Also, can you tell when then DOD kicks in from the exhaust?

I installed the cat-back Friday night so I do not have a lot of data points, but I have taken it on the highway for some for testing.

First off, it sounds really good inside the car, especially at idle and acceleration. At idle, you can hear a bit of a rumble, not to much louder then stock. During acceleration, it just sounds mean.

I set the cruise control at 65/70/75/80 going up in elevation and down. You can definitely tell when the DOD kicks in at 65 and 70. At 75 and 80, I could not hear the DOD kick in, probably because it wasn't (???). I can definitely hear a hum coming from the rear when cruising at the speeds mentioned above. I don't know if I would describe it as a drone. When the DOD kicks in, a secondary hum seems to occur at a lower frequency. The hum, with and without DOD, was not as loud when going down in elevation, probably as expected.

I ordered mine from Hottexhaust.com on the 30th of May - they told me it would ship on the 6th of June. I emailed them on Thursday night asking if it was going to ship, but I did not get a response. As of today I have not received any tracking numbers, so I'm not sure what is up. Hopefully it ships no later than Wednesday from down south, as UPS and Fedex both deliver from SoCal to NorCal in two days by ground. I want it for next weekend - it's the last mod for a while until I hit up VMS.

Hottexhaust is not great about emails, best to call.

Haddad has them in stock I think... I ordered from Hott but don't need it as I am waiting for my '09 to come in still...:)

Never mind, I'm sure yours will ship the normal way. I'm just pissed off because they told me mine would be here quickly due to being rerouted from an incorrect order but the orginal guy that got it is dragging his ass about sending it. It isn't really hottexhaust's fault but I feel they could be doing a lot more so I'm pissed off at them.

There is actually one place that is cheaper than we are on this particular product. I will refrain from using there name but you know who they are. You will also notice that they are not a sponsor of these boards, they do not have the product in stock, they are not a reputable shop, and please don't take my word for it please read the rest of these posts, as there are board members having problems with them as we speak.

In all honesty If I were any cheaper magnaflow would cut me off as a dealer. Please note there advertised price is more than mine.

BTW this is the kind of thing that hurts all of the shops that are R&Ding and supporting the car community. You get some yahoo that opens up a warehouse and slangs whatever products they can in order to make a buck. These guys have no over head and don't care about product quality and/or customer service.

I know that this is not gona dent the way things operate. But I tell ya what if companies like Magnaflow don't start stepping up and controlling the market to some degree, they are gona find them selves in a world of hurt in the long run.

Its a sad and happy event all wrapped up into one.

I've only used it once this year and I pay ruffly $500 a month just to keep it in the marina out here.
