I'm graduating college this December and will be starting a decent job immediately after. I've nicked my plans for a G8 for a few years and will be trading in for a scion (30mpg CITY!) as a DD.

So which is the best side project/weekend warrior and why?

68-71 Charger, Challenger, or Cuda (426 Hemi + modern mods)
late 60s-early 70s Mustang
" " Chevelle
" " Camaro
or build a H/C C5 (maybe toss a blower on there in a few years)

feel free to add more options. I haven't been around American cars a lot.

hahaha

My dad really wants an Olds 442. How's it different from an Olds 425/455?

70-71 Cuda if you can get one with a 426 or 440

I'm not sure if you've looked into the prices of mopars, especially those years, but they are NOT cheap.

The camaros are great, because you can more or less buy the entire car, NEW, nowaday. All you need is a vin.

69 Camaro with an LS7, 6 speed, C4 vette rear, C6 brakes, coil over suspension, etc etc etc. Would be awesome.

The Great One
The Tiger
The Original Muscle Car
The GTO

Don't settle for anything less!

Just be sure you can handle the scion (30mpg CITY!) as a DD. Then, go from there.
