I am going to get some new 19" wheels this week but I don't know what size tire to run on the back.
Front: I am going with a
19x8 et40 w stock 245/40/19 tire
Rear: I am going with a
19x9.5 et45 w a 285/40/19?
or
a 285/35/19?

Go with the 35 series in the back so you have the same overall diameter front and back.
I don't like the stagger, it affects handling.
Besides you can't rotate tires.

If he is going to run wider rims in the back you wouldn't rotate anyway.

That is why I am running my stock tires up front since I already have 4 and I will only have to buy new back tires.

Correct. This is necessary for the proper operation of the ABS, TC & other computer related functions.
