It is no harder on the tranny , In normal drive , it still shifts the same as stock , then put it in sport mode , or manually shift and it rips through the shifts .

How much is a tune, both ECM and TCM? its a hike for me, but may be worth the drive out there.

Awesome. I have to check with the wife, see if this is acceptable. On another note. How far (drive time) is niagra falls from there? I may be able to get away with a "excursion to niagra falls" and just happen to stop by the shop. I live in central massachusetts, so I'd rather stay out that way and show up in the morning.

Hey mike what software are you guys using to fine tune shifting... hp tuners? I would definitely have you guys tune me if distance wasnt a factor. I plan on getting tuned thursday by a shop in md thats tuned other g8 gt's via hp tuners. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated :)

In sport mode, how hard is it on the tranny? As awsome as that it sounds, im paranoid about stuff happening to my car. How long will the tranny last in sport mode?

Generally increasing line pressure and speeding up the shift times will make a transmission last longer , it will not get as hot when doing this because the clutches slip less , and the internal clutches do not wear as fast .
