The interior pic on the pontiac website shows red gauges and an all black steering wheel. Is this a real pic or a photoshop creation?

I'd say a creation. Certain parts are well colored while others appear to be in black and white. The tan parts look colored over also.

Even if a cumputer creation it is a new pic. I'm guessing the gauge face is red only with lights on.

If you want to see the real deal just go to the Holden site and just imagine it on the other side. I'm sure the gauges will be color coded with the exterior paint color just like the GTO has.

The SSV comes with a flip key. You depress the silver circular button at the top and the key shaft retracts into the body.

Dimensions are -

Body 65mm (2.6") x 35mm (1.4").
Key shaft 45mm long (1.8")

The 2 gauges are oil pressure and volts. They are my aftermarket design, manufacture and install. I am selling these as a kit here in Oz. They are advertised on eBay and are totally new installation (seperate to the factory gauges which are not disconnected). There are other gauges available as well....

I have just covered over the "crappy digital bars" with some black cardboard as I don't want to see them. I have stuck a V8 6 litre badge on the cardboard (not too visible in the pic).

I'm not sure if your G8 will have any gauges on there but at least there is an option.

My wife really likes it. She was wavering because GM is extremely slow in releasing this car and she was thinking about an Acura or BMW. I think she has decided that she can now wait for the G8s to make their way to the US.

The wait will be worth it guys. This new VE is such a huge leap up in handling it is unbeleivable.

I have not heard of one owner over here in Oz that has purchased a VE and then said they didn't like it...

The flip key is standard on the SSV, but option on the SS. The SS key is the same size but without the flip mechanism.

The G8 gets the same style key as the VE SSV, which is a flip design. The key stork flods back into the key.
