I read several posts about how great it was to use the audio system to play MP3's. I wanted to do this too and get rid of IPOD, adapter and power adapter/cord. After burning several disks, most files did not work properly (played like a record player with a bad needle) and some did not work at all. Someone on this forum suggested that I goggle for software to make the IPOD files usable. I found a program named "Sound Taxi", installed it, converted files and burned disks... I now have more music than I will ever need and no cords. Hope this helps someone as I wasted a few hours finding this solution.,

There are literally hundreds of programs out there to do this. Personally I use Media Monkey to keep my music organized and keep my media players full. It will inteface with just about every known media player as well as transcode files on the fly based on what formats the player (ipod, zune, sansa, G8, whatever) supports.

Windows Media Player can rip a CD into MP3 files. Then you just copy the files to a CD using your favorite burning software just as you would any other data.

Also, the G8's radio is one of the best I've seen for navigating folders on a data CD. So, make sure you organize your music by Genre or Artist because the G8 makes it a breeze to go through the folders.
