eek: DAMN!!!

Sorry about the drooling, I know what going on my Christmas list for next year. I wonder how Santa going to fit it in his sled, poor reindeer.

Well folks, if I can't get my wife to let me keep my g8 when the Z28 hits, I might be switching to the Camaro forum:D:

Wow, it's gonna be hard to keep the G8 if that thing hits the streets with the LS9. Wonder what the msrp will start at.

The GXP is GONE if this thing is half of what I've been praying it will be! A full blown (pardon the pun) Shelby slayer! 5.0's had better cringe!

I hope that GM is capable of a sound remedy for all of the ergonomic issues that the Gen 5 owners have faced.(and let downs) My fingers are re-crossed for the revised Gen 5.

Pulley,small FI cam,full bolt on & tune = $4,000 and 600+rwhp easily and safely!

Thanks goes out to the OP for the great link.

you'd still be cheaper just SC the SS instead of spending at least 10k more for the z28

I have to disagree, that is only one way of looking at it. I already have a H/C/SC LS3 and I am limited by my stock bottom end and trans. I am not dumping 10k more into my G8.

The extra coin paid for the LS9 or LSA accounts for forged internals, heads set up for FI compression needs a better trans (priceless), better interior (priceless) warrantied and/or put back to stock easily and SO MUCH more.

Lastly,as stated, I am /was very disappointed with the ergonomic set up of the Gen 5.(Not to mention I fell in love with the G8) I am hoping that GM listened to the existing Camaro community and fixes some of its issues ie; shifter position, controls etc.

ive seen forged rotating assemblies for $2000,the interior is the same from what i seen, and to some people a warranty is a good reason to spend the extra money... the differences between the SS and z28 are smaller than the differences between a GT and GT500...

I read awhile back on Autoblog or Jalopnik that GM is supposed to be "refining" the interior for 2012. It seriously needs it, freakin outdated when it hit the dealers. I guess we'll see if it happens.

needs a different rear spoiler

The way the rear end/trunk lid is shaped it's going to be difficult to design anything that looks decent on the rearend of that car.

More pictures of the Z/28 testing against the GT500. I can't wait for the Z/28 to slaughter the GT500 (Well, let's hope they made it to do so). I hate the new Mustang w/ a passion.

Ok, this has gone far enough. I think you need to stop it with all of these great links and good info about this potentially amazing car. Lol. I am finding it hard to concentrate on my work. Bad work = bad earnings = no Z28 for me! Lol.

Even IF I never own one of these, knowing that Mustang owners can't sleep at night is solace enough . Keep the comfort coming OP!

Wouldn't that be great if the 2011 GT500 and the 5.0 were one trick ponies and then forgotten!

My guess on the price: Starting MSRP will probably be in the 48k range, with a loaded model topping out at close to 60k. I also think that your local Chevy dealer will tack on an outrageous "adjusted market value" on the car.

I'll bet your right, that is insane! That is gently used Z06 territory. 48k is perfect! I am not a bells and whistle guy anyways. I'd get it without nav, bluetooth, hard drive etc. Navigation... I would never pay $2000 for directions! Lol.

I don't see GM asking $60,000.00 for a fully-loaded Z/28. I'm thinking it will cost around $55,000.00 or so. Considering the Cadillac CTS-V starts at $62,020.00 I just don't see the price of a well-optioned Z/28 being that steep.

I think that JTW makes a good point in regards to the price of the z/28. my guess that it will be around 46k or so for the normal one

It'll be alot more that $50, but I'd say no more than $60k.

A loaded SS will cost over $40k...

Any idea if a convertible Z/28 will be available?

Anyone else notice that the front brakes on the Z28 look different. While the rear Brembo's are the same. More possibilities for better brakes!!!

Why do you need better brakes?

Just give it more gas to pull yourself around the corner.

I may be alone on this one, but I just can't fall in love with the interior, especially the stereo / climate control area. Kind of ugly if you ask me. (even though no one did!)

Yeah, those look like the 6 piston CTS-V front brakes which makes sense since they bolt right up.

As long as the price doesn't go too far north of $50k I will defenitely be purchasing one of these. I sold the G8 a month ago so now have room in the garage!
