A guy I know has an intake, full exhaust, 4.10, tuned 99 Mustang Cobra, and we've been trying to run for a while. I have an intake, x-pipe, and tune.

It will more than likely be from a roll, since neither of us will be able to hook.

Thoughts? I'm thinking he might stay even with me for a few seconds then I pull on him pretty hard.

I raced one from a roll when I had my stock 04 A4 GTO. He had at least an exhaust, but I don't know what, if anything, else he had. I took him fairly easily. We exchanged a thumbs up but never stopped to talk. Your modded G8 would absolutely take a stock 04 GTO from a roll, so my bet is on your car.

He is probably a low 13 sec car, might cut a high 12 with DR's and a high rev clutch drop. You should be able to get him.

You will destroy him. He won't last more than a second or two next to your car.

going by the license plate in your pic you have a GXP, and with those mods you should win unless the guy is an amazing driver. with the 4.10s full exhaust and really good driver I would say the 99 Cobra might be in the high to mid/high 12s. but with an average driver or good driver i say low 13s. you should win

I had a 99 cobra with the same mods. best I could run was a 13.7 on street tires.

with that said, go embarass him...lol

Any idea how a Gt would fair with tune and intake against a similar modded 99 SVT?
