i have only seen 3 so far. Mine, Haddad's and some other red one.

I saw a grey one in Burbank and someone test driving a red one in Van Nuys... they are pretty rare though. Personally i like rare cars... means you can give a fellow G8 Driver a good thumbs up when you see them :)

One thing i find interesting is that when i looked at the inventory for the 08 G8s California doesn't have many cars left fully loaded... but if you look up Chicago or Atlanta they have plenty of them.

Once my 09 ships we can add one to the road :)

I've had my G8 V6 in White for 2 weeks now. So far just tinted windows. Might debadge the GM / Pontiac name plates this weekend. Thinking about painting the brake calipers (red or black?)

I'm an hour north of San Diego. Have yet to see another one either. Have seen plenty G6 though. It's cool with me, I like being the only one. It's like I know something they don't know!! Which clearly I do!!! LMAO.

I'm driving an '08, magnetic gray metallic GT that I purchased, late June. I love the car.

Since picking up the car I've seen a whitehot base G8, ignition orange GT and my twin, a magnetic gray metallic GT roaming around my neighborhood.

My family, friends and co-workers love the car. They exclaim "it looks like a BMW", or "it an Acura". I simply respond "it looks like a Pontiac G8 GT".

Have a 08 Hot White G8. No mods yet but looking forward to a tune and exhaust system soon.

im in San Diego. ive seen like 4 or 5 G8s so far. 2 red ones 2 white ones (might have been the same rental car cause it was near where i saw the other white one.(same exit near hotels)) had a GTO show some love the other night driving home. pulled up next to me and got a thumbs up as he passed me.

Just picked up a '08 Gray G8 this past monday. Just a little V6 with all the bells and whistles here in Ventura area. So far, I'm likeing it. It's a nice family car addition with some style and pep.

Well, I did it. The dealer wrestled my GTO out of my hands, I traded it in for a 2009 G8 GT on the last day of the Employee Discount for Everyone sale. It's a Pacific Slate Metallic with the works except sunroof, which I didn't want. It's the perfect one I was looking for. I really love the color and everything else about it so far. Here's a couple of pics.

Drove up to the bay area for Turkey and didn't a single G8 on the raod. Thought with 14 hours total I'd see at least one. :(

Thanks! I can't stop staring at it. It really is a beautiful color. I had a cyclone gray metallic GTO which I thought was a great color but this is even more beautiful. I feel very fortunate to have gotten it.

Did you get yours from Jack Harrison Pontiac? I looked there at the end of December but the salesman said he didn't have any new ones out, so he showed me a used 08 white one. I wasn't ready to buy without more research and checked the carfax on it. Found out it was a rental and lost interest.
Decided after that I was going to make the dealers compete for my business. I emailed every SoCal Pontiac dealer letting them know exactly what I was looking for and asked what there rock bottom price was (also let them know I was emailing the others so they knew they were competing).
I ended up getting the exact car I wanted (color, options, etc) at the best offered price, only difference was I had to drive from the IB area to Poway to get it.
Im sure I will see you cruising around town someday! :)

Only mods - Magna Flo axle back- and more coming owned the car for a week.

I have an appointment set up with K&N in Riverside all next week for my car. They are verifying which of their 2 designed intakes is better. They are gonna have my car all week (I get a donor) then give my car back; then produce their intake and I'll go back up and get the intake installed and the dyno charts of before & after...plus a free, pre-production, K&N Intake :) They are thinking about June for the release of the intake

hey kbuckert are you going to be there at their facility during the weekend? If so are you allowed to take people with you? i would be interested in meeting you there and seeing what they do...I'm beginning schooling for mechanical engineering so this type of stuff interests me.

I think people are still weary about the G8 - I have been crusing the streets and nobody creeps up.

But she is looking for a 4 door wit lots of power and I'm tired of seeing the Skittle Nation on 24's (Daytona Chargers) all around where I live....LOL

If I do get one I'm not touching the motor at all.Cali smog laws suck. I'm having issues wit my current ride as is....LOL The only thing I mod out would be the suspenions wit coilovers and subframs and mufflers.

My G8 Gt is primarily my wifes ride but I did do the flow master exhaust and some aftermarket wheels. I don't know if the added 8K is worth the difference between the GT and the GXP. Plus since its for your wife the gas miledge is better with the GT and it will run on regular gas. Plus you don't have to pay the gas gusler tax on the GT. Things to think about. The GT is still quite fast too.

Yep, well, I was driving my car daily until last week. I'm currently driving my wife's car for a while, but I'm planning on taking the G8 to work on Friday.

Might not be you I have a black G8 Gt sport package tinted windows too. Except I replaced the factory wheels with some 5 spoke chrome wheels.

I saw a black GT in Toluca Lake last night behind Sharky's... it had an exhaust (kooks Gen 2 i think) and tinted windows

I just got my G8 GT on Friday. I have yet to see one on the road. Although, the guy who sold me mine sold a white G8 that morning.

Do you guys drive your cars daily? I live in RSM and I work next to the Spectrum and have not seen another G8 in Orange County. If you see a black GT with sport package and tinted windows thats me.
I did see a black Gt about a month ago on Alton Pkwy going over ythe 405 toward the spectrum. It had yellow dealer paper plates. Was that yours? Looked just like mine except I got rid of the factory 19's. Also put a magnaflow axle back system on it and tinted the windows. Would be cool to all get together.

Has anybody else here tried to remove the front license plate holder? I went to remove it when I first bought it and I noticed it is rivited on. I don't want to damage the front bumper removing it. SUCKS

ha ha... you have to get the holes repaired if you take it off.
