There is a G8 sitting on the showroom floor at Dale Downie Pontiac in London.

in the dealer here in fort mcmurray, alberta there's 2 ofem a black V6 and a MGM GT, it looks awesome, but im holdin out till next summer, cause i know they'll rip me off lol but looks awesome, ive booked it for a drive on thrsday if its not sold by that time so hopefully ill drive it :)

I took a look at the one at Dale Downie today ... it's a V6, in that orange colour paint. They have a GT coming in soon, hopefully, so I might go back and test drive it.

This is the first time I've seen a G8 in person. Love the exterior, but I have to say I'm disappointed in the interior. It has that old-school GM cheap looking plastic all over. Then again, perhaps it's just suffering in comparison to the new CTS that I was looking at, which probably has one of the best interiors of any car right now. But other than that, the G8 GT optioned the way I'd want it is about $5-7k less than the CTS optioned the way I'd want it, so that definitely makes up for it.

Was this car a 2008 or 2009 because GM has dropped Ignition Orange for 09.

I talked to the sales manager at my work, He told me that it could ONLY be a US modle on loan from GM (same way we got one at our dealer two weeks ago) what I was told is that all the G8's destine for Ontario are still on the trains coming in from BC.

I never really asked about that specific car, since it was a V6 and not available for sale. But I thought Canada was only getting 09s :dunno:

Just called the dealership and according to Chad it is a GM executive car that is not for sale , he said it is Ignition Orange and it's a 2009. I think he may be wrong about the year but whatever. He also said they will be getting 5-6 G8s in on Monday.

Hopefully my dealership will be getting a few this week too. :driving:

I guess my G8 must be in a different batch.
I already have it ordered and have my VIN already.
Was told it would be here sometime early July.

I am just curious (read anxious) as to whether it's is on some boat or on it's way accross Canada.

How often do the boats arrive in Canadia? They must hold, what, 2000-3000 cars per boat, enough for 4 or 5 per dealer.

the dealer I'm at in Toronto got its first of 10 yesterday, it showed up about 2 weekes ago in the country. the One I ordered (Panther Black GT) JUST showed up in the country yesterday aswell, as it was on one of the second 2 ships arrived then.

My dealer told me I will get mine (Panther Black GT) in two weeks (on train from west).

Has anyone from Ontario purchased their G8 GT yet..if so what price did u get yours at? I'm just planning on getting a G8 GT with the premium package...don't care too much for a sunroof and i've already got 20" rims on my G6 that i'll just transfer over...So far i've heard a price of 39,000 on a 4 yr lease...100,000km warranty...2000 down payment

Unless your 20's are multihole they won't fit the G8.

You mean they're not giving GM employee discounts? Or for that matter, GM Visa points? If not, I'll keep looking until I find a dealer that will. Or I'll wait; it'll help the equity situation with my trade.

my GM Visa points is the only thing I get off of the car... other then the $800 off the extended warrenty for being an employee.
