You can listen to your stereo without the key, just hit the power button on the stereo twice, and bingo, your radio will turn on. You can then open the drivers door and begin to have your party! I got in and out a couple times and the stereo remains on. I'm not sure how long it will stay on for, someone else can figure that out. My guess is 10 min.

I thought it did it once for me. I had to do it twice the second time around, or maybe I didn't push hard enough. Cool about the 15....doesn't wear down the battery which is what I was worried about.

Yeah, all GM really needs to do to improve the G8 is just give us all the options, including HSV goodies.

Small note: We all know the radio will go without the key in the ignition until the drivers door is open, but the accessory power points shut off when the passenger door is opened. That I find odd. Was listening to my sirius radio the other day and I parked the car and turned it off. I was interested in what they were saying and my girlfriend got out and the sirius tuner shut off.

Bingo. Transparent blue high temp plastic. Looks great at night, cant see **** during the day:drink: It's back to stock for now.

I did leave the piece over the Atari gauges...easy fix.

Once you turn your stereo back on you can get out. You can even push the button with the door open:wink2:

Most "ferin" cars are like that. I guess that's what we get for buyin' a "ferin" car.

Seems like it'd be easy enough to re-wire those into a harness that's live all the time though. Power seat wiring perhaps?
