I love my cloth seats for their styling and coolness in my area, but I do envy the real arm rest \tray combo in my son’s black panther GT w\leather option, unlike just the tray on my liquid red G8 w\ cloth seats.

I’m currently contemplating ordering the arm\ tray assembly for the upgraded leather seats, but then I would have to change or swap upholstery?

The car is classy and worthy of this luxury, people have actually asked me for it and they (as well as I) have been disappointed with the tray. I would have gladly paid extra to get it OEM…
I would appreciate ideas or some suggestions on a solution for a real arm rest that looks OEM,

Are the two options the same physical size? Do they mount/hinge the same? If so I would think having the armrest/tray reupholstered to match your seats would be relatively cheap at any decent upholstery shop. There's probably 10 shops within 5 miles of my house, bet there's some close to you too.

Likely the part itself won't be cheap though.

To my measuring, they appear identical in dimension and mounting brackets, only difference is, on the leather option the arm rest is built into the front of the tray assembly...Really nice!
