Picked this up a few months ago with only 12000'kms on the Odometer. Love the color and the whole look and feel of it.

So far have lowered it, added some 20" Verde Kaos rims, put on some SS/V rear mufflers and bee sting roof antenna aerial and some billet strut caps in the engine bay. Have spent a good amount of time on her including a full machine polish and paint clean, Dodo Juice supernatural wax.

Have a GXP rear diffuser still to go on (going to take off the tow bar), and want to put on some 60th anniversary chrome sided door handles. Custom plates on too. She runs the 3.6L quad cam V6 and 5 spd auto. Simple work/family car with subtle mods that do turn heads :). Go out cruising in her when I can.

Anyways.. here's a few shots.

Thanks Mate ;). My aim was to make a nice cruiser for myself and the family. No racing or power runs.. just easy on the eyes and great to cruise in :).

Thanks Mate :). I do love the Voodoo blue, it goes off in the sun! and after I machined polished it etc.. the color was so much deeper and just turns heads when ever I'm out n about :).

Was out yesterday and stopped to check the tyre pressures... some random guy walks pats me and says "Bloody nice car man", lol always makes me smile :).

DOH! How much to ship your "discarded part" to the USA? I WANT IT! :):):)

They are very hard to come by here in the US.... partially due to the overseas factor, and partially because the g8 was only built for 2.5 years. :slap:

I love how it's partially hidden yet still useful. I'd love to tow the family jet-ski behind the g8, talk about a fun time!

PS -- I already have the GXP diffuser, we can get them locally here in the states for about $60 shipped.

I could find out the cost for shipping once Ive taken it off if you like? :). I dont plan on towing anything lol.

I got my rear diffuser new from a dude over east for $85 AUD delivered.

Stach.

P.S. I want to get a jet ski one day.. but maybe a 4wd before then to tow it :).

I just noticed from the initial post, what seems to be chrome "strut bushing caps" of sorts. Those aftermarket?

Thanks for the comment Zepcom :).

Have been into my photog for a while now.. and worked for a mag for a year and a half in the past :).

The strut caps/covers are made by a fellow on the Street Commodores forums from billet :) and polished up. Set me back about $145 AUD.

Bought it on the Aussie Ebay.. dude had 2 of them for sale at $40 aud each.. very good considering i think theyre nearly $120 from Holden. Generally you have to provide a Vin number to HSV to buy any HSV badges!. This ones from an E2 HSV.. usually put on when they have a Bi-Modal exhaust.

Yeah, i reckon they would have sold a fair few your way :), same goes with the Utes!.

Would also love to get some kind of lower lip kit on mine, in black or carbon fiber.. something like the below, but obviously not exactly like this chop.. which was very quick.

I know it's not a popular choice but I think I'd trade my car for a wagon given the opportunity.
It looks like a big ol' turtle. :)

I have a little off-topic question but what kind of trees are those in the background.
I'm unfamiliar with indigenous plants down there. It looks like they were groomed that way but I'm sure that's just natural right?
