My name is Rob. While I may be newer to this forums, and have only recently started to post, I have owned a G8 for over a year now, and am still happy with the car.

I am currently reading a lot of posts regarding available mods for the V6, the obvious CIA and axle-back exhaust being the main two that have jumped out thus far.

The forums are full of great information, I wish I joined sooner, I feel a year behind already.

Welcome Rob. That's some dark tint you got there, they don't hassle you over it over there? So far I have had 3 tint tickets and my fronts are not nearly that dark.

Not so far, with the sunroof open it lightens the front up enough so it appears lighter. Most cars come with 20% on the back stock anyways.

Already posted on the topics on here, and called zoro in Hamilton about 2 hours ago :p

I know they only make the axle back, but hes going to get back to me about replacing the rest of the pipe, same shape as the stock, then adding the axle back kit. I just hate the rust, and with so much salt here in the winters, may as well now.

Just a heads up, unless you get your pipes made in T304 stainless, it'll still discolor over time. I think solo usually does T403 or something like that for the pipes, and T304 for the mufflers to keep them shiny and to keep the costs down. The T304 is really expensive.

I just spoke with Zoro Muffler in Hamilton again, he said Solo makes a cat-back for the V6 as well as the axle-back. That is contrary to both Solo's post on here, and info on their site.

Has anyone else heard of, or had this done?

I believe the shop guy was mistaken. There are several offerings for the v8, but just currently one official offering for the v6, namely the axleback. Plain and simple, no benefits by replacing all the piping other than you pay money to do so. :huh:

You've already responded on that other thread, so it seems like you're really trying to beat around the bush, but here's the official latest stance that I've found, direct from GOINGSOLO2 (Steve).

It does not look like we will be making a full cat-back for the V6. The axle-backs do a great job with the sound, and there is not much power to gain simply from a cat-back on the V6 that will sound as good as the axle-back does.
