Someone checked the GM part numbers for the Corvette and the G8 balancer. Both were the same part number. Given that, it seems safe to get the under drive pulley from SLP. Of course, your results may differ. :)

Yes , the corvette and G8 use the same underdrive pulley , Powerbond (the brand we carry) makes them for SLP , then SLP puts their name on the box and marks it up as well . It uses the stock AC belt , and the main belt part number is on the box that comes with the pulley .

This underdrive crank pulley (also harmonic balancer) is smaller in diameter , and this makes it slow down how fast the rest of your accesories are rotating by 25% , by doing this , it reduces engine stress and frees up horsepower and torque . Also , this is a much better balanced piece than the stock unit , which can help with false knock/misfire and erratic power dips .
