Have your G8's been coming with the GM wheel locks included?
Just got my Black GT last week and the dealer said the locks were included with the car from the factory. The packaging was provided with the car and they are a GM accessory product. The problem is that that black lug covers don't fit the round lock lug. Has anyone else found this to be an issue? The one locking lug stands out compared to the rest.
Just trying to see if anyone else found this to be odd.

Wheel Locks do not come with the 2008 Pontiac G8. Or any Pontiac model for that matter. Has been many years since they were factory installed equipment.

I have seen several dealerships that install wheel locks as part of their new car check in procedure for their own security purposes. Guess they must add them to the cost of the deal or remove them when the car is sold. Sounds like your dealership added them in.

No wheel locks on my 19's. They are a waste of time. Now days they yank the whole car. Bryan, tell the dealer you want normal lug nuts. That would annoy me about the black plastic cap not fitting. If they charged you, get a refund.

They didnt charge me for them. I paid about 1K under sticker. They said they were included in the car. When I got the overview from the salesperson. The lock kit was in the glove compartment with the standard lugs in there with the covers. I'm thinking of having them switched back just as recommended above. I don't go anywhere that I'd have an issue with stolen wheels and at night it is in my garage. I've had my GXP for 8 years and those wheels never went anywhere. The packaging states they are a GM accessory so I guess they throw them in. I know nothing is free so they may have come further off sticker but who knows. They said it is my car so they would switch them back. It definately stands out.

Wheel locks came with my G8 GT with the 18" wheels. Looks factory to me. I wasn't charged any extra for them.

Did they give you covers or do they stick out like a sore thumb like mine?

If i was going to steal the wheels I think i would take the whole car instead!!!

That's what I told the dealer. When I take it in for some minor damage, I'm having them switched back. That is what insurance is for anyway.

the cars themself do NOT come with the lockers, they are Added as part of the PDI process, or at least thats how I've seen a few Hundred cars at the Pontiac dealer I work for get done..
