My question is this when a part is needed for a G8 is it going to have ordered from Australia if so that will leed to some long wait time while car is the shop.

Depends on the part.

Engine - I'd have to say no.
Everything else....probably yes.

Well hopefully there will be alot more G8s on the road than there are GTOs. GM would be wise to stock common parts a little closer State side.

I don't think it will be that bad.
