: SpinTech Pro Streets?

Now I did a search, but couldn't find anything specific so don't beat me for asking what could be a stupid question. Does anyone know which model of Pro Streets to use on a G8? I used them on my GTO and loved them. For the GTO, I believe the inlet/outlet were offset.

To be honest man I dont think the box shape of the current spintechs would fit, after putting my car up on a lift to evaluate what I could do there is kind of a space issue when attempting to replace the middle resonator with anything else but bullet resonators like slps or flowtecs for a nice roar.

OK, obviously I haven't really taken the time to analyze the exhaust on the car. I am a little confused on the issue of a middle resonator. I just want to replace the mufflers. Now the big suitcase resonator I was going to replace with an X-Pipe of some variety. I guess I didn't know there was an in-between resonator in there too.

well If I were you id just cut everything out from the cats back and put in an x pipe and call it a day and save the stock tips. It will be substantially loud though, but it all depends on what sound your looking for.

Well, my GTO was loud as hell and while that was fun, I am looking for something a bit more restrained. The stock is just simply too quiet, and while I bought this as a more "family" car I would like a little more "authority". :)

Don't get me wrong. I have considered going to a balls out cat back system, but I am afraid it might be a bit overpowering. Well, more so for my wife than me. :wink2:

You could always ask a muffler shop :dunno: And on the GTO they should have been straight-through on one side, not offset.

Unfortunately, I don't have a muffler shop around me that carries SpinTech. I usually mail order them and have a shop put them on. As for the GTO, you are right and I meant to say "center offset". When I get back to the US, I guess I will just have to crawl under the car see what I think my options are. Thanks.
