Just wanted to introduce myself, my name is Kris--I live in southern Missouri and I just bought an '08 G8 GT...I'm prolly a little different that most members here in that I am saving my G8 from being salvaged...this car has been hit in the front pretty hard but I will be making it correct...piece by piece...and yes, I bought this car at a bargin...21k miles and $8500...will post pics when I pick the car up tomorrow. Looking forward to spending time here...now being that this car has been hit in the front...gimme ideas on parts that I should replace with aftermarket for performance and better looks...:gears:

I would install the GXP front bumper. Most people on the board like the GXP front end more than the GT front. There are a couple threads that discuss converting from a GT front end to a GXP front. Also, look at replacing the rear GT diffuser with a GXP diffuser.....looks better and easier to clean. I just installed the Sharkfin antenna from Visual Garage. It's much better looking than the stock antenna. For go fast items many people start with a CAI and tune.

Absolutly LOVE this car, added a SLP Blackwing intake since the factory intake was mangled. Let me know what you think.

i'm guessing that accident required acquiring a new hood, front quarter panels, front bumper, fog-lights, headlights and the grill, and maybe a radiator? that couldn't have been cheap but she looks great :p

Cheap.....HELL NO. Yeah, all the body panels in the front were replaced, but also, the oil pan, cradle, core support, all lines, colling system, steering rack, PS pump, and lots more....lol. Love the car, glad I was able to save it.
