Heya Dylan, Quick question.... I have the Adams firehose nozzle and I think whatever seal is in there is taking a poop on me. I bought the nozzle through a local Adams distributor at a car clinic last year.

Do you know if it is just an Oring in there? Also, can I buy just that? The nozzle is AMAZING and I dont want to get rid of it (or have to buy another so soon), but it sucks right now.

Sorry for the slow reply... still scrambling to catch up from labor day sales!!

We actually stopped stocking that unit for that exact reason... when we first started to carry them they were made here in the US and used an anodized steel core, unknown to us they started making them in China and using a cheapy plastic core piece.

Since we don't do chinese made or poor quality we discontinued them from our line.

If its no longer working shoot me an email: Dylan@AdamsPolishes.com and we can work something out for a store credit towards something else. We still haven't sourced a good MADE IN THE USA alternative so I can't get you a replacement unfortunately.

Replied.

I agree... I liked the design. I sent you a link to a good replacement in the meantime.

Doh!

I'm hopping the fire hose nozzle that I just bought on the daily special is a good one!

A lot has changed since this thread started... the nozzle you just ordered is 100% t6 aircraft aluminum and powder coated. Far superior to our old ones.

I've had mine for months, but it is just starting to warm up around here, but the rain just keeps coming. Looking forward to trying it out.

I bought the combo with the shut off nozzle and I will say this is one of the nicest spray nozzles I have seen. I've seen a couple aluminum fire hose type nozzles here and there but they pale in comparison. Its a solid, beefy piece and has a nice quality finish to it. You will definately want to take it off the hose and put it back inside when your done using it.

I had mine shipped to my Parents in the States & wont be seeing it 'till mid April. That's OK cause the car is parked until April/May.

I bought the combo with the shut off nozzle

I'm starting to wonder what this is all about now?

It was an Adams Daily special a while back and Dylan was asking for comments on it. Should be this one....

Here is a picture of the Fire Nozzle. It was listed on the Adams web site. Not hard to find.

I think there is some confusion here guys -

The original post was referring to our old hose nozzle. It was mostly rubberized with a few blue anodized aluminum accents. Unknown to us the manufacture started using plastic on the inner construction and they would fail easily. When we first started carrying them the inner housing was aluminum, but when they changed to plastic the fail rate was so high we stopped stocking them.

A few months back we introduced a new fire hose nozzle... the one thats pictured above.

Its machined out of 6160 T6 Aluminum and then powder coated. The sidewalls are a ridiculous 3/8" thick and it is actually made by a company that manufactures hoses, fittings and nozzles for actual fire fighting... this isn't a garden hose nozzle... this is a seriously engineered piece and built to last a lifetime.
