Somebody please tell me they've heard some info from pacesetter. Im just personally looking for a cheaper alternative to the other manufactuers headers... any news appreciated.:)

+1 I would love to see a price on the Pace Setters, on like a kit that includes everything but the mufflers. : )

I am not sure if Pacesetter is working on a system. They don't have a C6 kit out which strikes me as strange since there are a lot more of those on the road. A few things to remember. Pacesetter makes an "okay" cheap header..but it is not Kooks on the cheap. The headers are made from plain steel and will rust. Even the coated ones are coated outside only and have been known to fail.

Also, Pacesetter does not make catted systems, and they do not include O2 extensions with any of their systems.

Lastly..it will be interesting to see if they do an X-pipe for this car...since that is by far the most expensive part of the exhaust. However the flipside is not doing an X-pipe means a shorter header and less power.

i had pacesetter headers on my 90 maxima a long time ago, they didnt fit very good. bunges where not in the right place. i wouldnt buy them, deffently for a nice car like the g8. oh yeah, not sure if they were ment to stay painted but the black paint burned off the first day. resulting in a lot of smoke

They are local to me and I personally know someone who works there. I have been trying to get them to use my car for testing. from what i have gathered, it won't be any time soon :(

I hope i'm wrong though...

You get what you pay for! friend of mine had pace setters on his celica?? (I think it was a celica) and the flanges where not smooth so it would blow gasket every 500 miles... and the flanges where so thin no machine shop would touch them trying to machine them.

If you dont have money for Kooks or ARH you dont have the money to void a warranty.... IMO

Im not a big fan of pacesetter just from a lot of low quality work I saw when I worked for Summit Racing. I did though get an E mail from BBK that they have Headers and x pipe for the G8 and are just waiting for the 2010 SS to come out and ensure dual fitment. Check it out .....:driving:

G8 headers and matching X-pipe have been prototyped and are ready to be finalized, but we are waiting for our Camaro to make sure the headers we make fit both so we can make the most out of them.

Not sure exactly when that will be, but as always, BBK's price will be extremely reasonable compared to the other offerings on the market.

I've built 100's of cars using Pacesetter headers. Every now and then you'll hit a bad batch, but for the most part their quality is excellent considering the price. I hope they come out with a G8 kit soon. I just installed the SLP kit on a customers car a while back and couldn't believe how much he paid for those things. Talk about a rip off "G8" tax.

I think the issue Pacesetter will have is the X-pipe if they make one. If they do..we know it won't have cats. Either way...there are plenty of posts about Pacesetter. If you the type who rocks Payless shoes and has no issues their your header. However if you care what you put on you car there are better options.
