Hey guys,

I test drove a v6 yesterday (my budget doesn't allow the GT). I was suprised as to how responsive the V6 was. it was the base model around 27K. The sound system was superior to the other cars i've test drove. I drove a Saturn Aura and while the ride was quiet, you couldn't hear the engine...when i drove the G8 that V6 growled a little. Over all i'd take a base model G8 over the loaded Malibu, or Aura.

Good to hear. With the V6 you either love it or you hate it. Personally i think its a decent engine and has a nice growl for a v6 when you take it to high revs.

It does sound nice for a V6. Is that the car your going to get then? you can get a base model audi a4 for the same price but Its a 4 cylinder, 2 litre and 200hp. the V6 G8 is a better buy. But if you were looking at saturns and malibu's then Id take the A4 over one of them.

I'll more than likely get the V6 G8. I'll be waiting for a little while. Shoot, if i wait long enough they may have some incentives on the GT...

I have some GM credits saved up from my GM card...so i kind of cornered myself into getting a GM car. I'm not really disappointed though...i've always been one of those "buy american" types and Big Three are finally putting out some great cars in the G8, Malibu, Aura, Fusion, CTS, MKS, Edge, Charger and soon to be Challenger. Not to mention the trucks, Silverado, F-150, RAM...
on top of that...i've never really been a fan of Audi's...just don't like the styling of their sedans
