here is nothing to source. JHP has and knows all you need :wink2:
http://www.jhp.com.au/order-form-main.php

None of the part lists that were posted on the forum cover what you actually need for the conversion. They have parts which you don't need and they are missing parts which you can't finish without.

The only thing I didn't get which I needed (mainly just wanted) is the liner under the hood.

Everything comes together very nicely. It's 99.9% plug and play once you get it painted. The only thing is that the G8 airduct is too long and to replace it you need to disassemble half of the car so I quickly cut it with a disc saw and called it a day. It's really, really, really not worth disassembling because of that piece.

Has anyone considered the Vauxhall VXR's front facia?

Go to youtube to see how the VXR8 (Supercharged 6.2 = 500+ hp) compares to the M3 & C63

The VXR8 is just a HSV Clubsport rebadge. I wanna see some HSV taillights on G8.

it will NOT fit
not only the bumper has to be specific shape to accomodate the shape of the tail light, but they are also located at a different height.

you guys who are dreaming about HSV Clubsport/VXR8 conversion, can keep dreaming. The front or rear fascia cost nearly $2000 each. plus the fenders and all other stuff. You're looking at close to 20-25k on conversion. What do you really expect from the car which is priced from $60k and up?

what about the foam absorber behind the bumper mate. Did JHP supply that too? or can you reuse G8 one??

Total cost please. Group buy would work for the rest of us.:)

I wanted to convert mine (once I get one lol) but I've since grown to liking the GXP front fasica. I still like the SSV look but it's a toss up.

Excellent job, but I still prefer the Poncho nose. The Holden front bumper still reminds me of an aftermarket afterthought design, you'd see on a Honda.

Again, not bashing your efforts, just not my cup of tea.

I like everything better, but the rear wing. I think the G8 has a much better look with the little deck spoiler. The Commodore front end IMO has much more European look to it, and I prefer the single grille opening. It will certainly get attention in the US. I don't want to know what the cost was of that conversion tho!

See, I think it gives it more of an asian look. The twin grills makes it look even more like a bimmer :)

I dunno. Doesn't really matter once you are looking at it from the proper spot, the drivers seat! :) If I could ditch the chrome around the grille, I'd be much happier with the front end of the stock G8.

Dede....looks like you got the "high" spoiler from what I can see in your pics. The high spoiler is still being used on 60th Anniversary SSV Commodores...(so are those 20" rims). Did you bother to change the trunk lid struts to compensate for the extra weight? What was the p/n of the spoiler if you don't mind sharing. If it is the high spoiler the underside and legs should be black. Also, no SS badges for the rear doors? Looks good BTW

yeah, it's a high spoiler. I got it painted from JHP and I don't know if I want to do the bottom of it black since it will be too expensive for me to go back if I don't like it. I didn't have to change anything to compensate for the weithg, the spoiler ain't that heavvy. I don't have a part number for it. I do have badges, I just haven't put them on yet. I also have V8 badges for the front fenders.

With a bumper replacement why wouldn't the HSV taillights fit? Are the fenders themselves different?

no one mention replacement of the bumper to have the taillights fitted ...
I don't see spending over 2K on the rear bumper just to fit the new taillights

Great professional looking job.
Looks real authentic. That just makes it look "strange" for us in AU. Seeing something so factory but with the wheel on the wrong side of the car.
Excellent work.

There is a young V6 owner in AU who has done a full front and rear HSV Clubsport swap. Got it done cheap with non retail price parts, but still a pretty expensive mod.

You Auzzies have it good! I'm a big fan of V8 Supercar series (even though the racing isn't being broadcast here in the States this year, grrr) so I'm used to the look of the Commodores. I like the G8 nose too, but still partial to the Commodore.

And it is very weird hearing one of the V8 Supercar commentators announcing NASCAR races!
