VMS is finally releasing our "No Torque Converter Necessary" Camshaft Kit. This is the 4th camshaft we have tested for this application. We kept fine tuning it, and are very happy with the results!

This cam really is a true "no converter" camshaft. Drivability is excellent and the new torque band is awesome!

This cam kit does delete the AFM (DOD) system. The kit is available now and does include everything needed to convert the AFM system.

As the dyno graph below shows, the torque band holds on much longer and is flat for quite a while. The stock torque peaks then falls dramatically. There is a respectable 54 HP and 20 LB/TQ gain over the baseline modified graph (peak to peak).

The baseline run is a G8 GT with Kooks full length headers & X-pipe with high flow cats. The car was also outfitted with a New Era OTR intake. It was also fully dyno tuned on the baseline run to show a true gain of the camshaft only.

Where this cam really shines is over 4200 RPM. At For example, at 6200 RPM there is a 67 HP and 57 LB/TQ gain. Peak torque is moved from 4700 to 5300 RPM and remains flat far longer than stock. On the street this gives an incredible seat of the pants feel.

Whose car is that? It's IOM and the dyno graph says customer is Tate, J. That's pretty funny considering I drive an IOM and my name is Jeffery Tate. Does that mean I can get one for free? Very interested in this cam, been waiting for a while for it. What are the specs on it?
Tate

That's my car and I spell Jeffery the same way!! That's hilarious same name and both driving IOM G8's. Your middle name isnt Allan is it? I never drove it with just the cam. Right after this he finished my mods by adding the Maggie and Rotofab. Guess you need to cam and Maggie now to keep everything matched up:)

Naw, Jeffery is the middle name. Nice set of mods there. I'm still waiting on my damn money tree to finish growing then I can finish my mods. What #s did you make after all your mods?
Tate

I was going to ask how this cam would match up with a maggi but I guess you know. Fill us in!

Great manners for normal driving and a beast when you put your foot in it. 522RWHP and 489TQ on a Mustang Dyno. I am very happy with it after the first week and a half.

Is that with the standard pulley?

It's a 222/230 duration .609"/.616" lift on a 116 lsa.

This is also an excellent forced induction camshaft.

I can't give you one for free, but I can set you up with a deal since you are an existing customer. That certainly is odd about the Jeffery Tate / IOM thing.

what sort of gains could one expect without headers, but with say, a vararam, and Solo highflow cats and adding your ported manifold into the mix?

I went on your website to try and find a price, but all I could find was the stage 1 and stage 2 cams. Could you tell me what the price on this is? Also, you may want someone to look at your website because none of the imbeded pictures work and the gallery page doesn't open either. Anyway, I have the same exact setup as the g8 you put this is in, so i'm highly interested in price so I can put it in after the winter. Thanks.

I would expect 15 HP less with the Solo system with our ported intake

We are in the process of moving our site to a different server so there are some strange things going on. Thanks for the heads up though.

We will be adding the cam shortly after the move to the new server. The price for the cam and DOD delete kit is $1475.

I want one!

Then buy one! :)

Are also in the process of making a similar cam that will work better with a convert?

Looking on the website, I don't see any G8 cam packages.
