: Are the G8 and new CTS wheel bolt pattern the same?
carsuperfreak 06-25-2008, 11:04 AM I saw a 2009 CTS-V in the parking lot the other day, and the wheels caught my attention. Look how similar these are to the wheels from the HSV GTS

If so, buying a set of these would be much cheaper than getting some shipped from Down Under......
Bowlochili 06-25-2008, 11:22 AM i believe they are the same.
ChipC 06-25-2008, 08:05 PM And almost identical to the GXP wheels (width being the difference).

CStringG8 06-26-2008, 12:54 AM sexy car. i am going to miss my cadillac when my g8 gets here. it's in chicago. almost here!
Maplehawk 06-26-2008, 02:02 AM What a minute! you saw a 2009 CTS-V sitting in your parking lot? Do you work at GM? Those cars are not in production yet.

Yea, I work in GM Powertrain. There's three sitting in the parking lot downstairs. Red, Grey, and a really sexy blue/grey metallic color
The only difference in the wheels is the HSV wheels appear to be "sharper"

But overall, generally the same.
HANNlBAL KING 06-26-2008, 02:41 PM If you work in GM Powertrain why are you asking us this question?
carsuperfreak 06-26-2008, 02:42 PM Wheels are a platform thing :p
and just bringing it up as a point of interest
SilverFox 06-26-2008, 08:26 PM similar but I like the HSV 20's more !!!
Maplehawk 06-26-2008, 09:36 PM There is a difference on the inner part of the triangular opening of the spoke. The CTS-V wheel has a slight flange.
The CTS-V is going to be awesome. Wish they would announce the price. Should arrive arrive about the same time as the GXP/

I've read in the 70K ballpark. Makes a GXP in the 40K range seem like a bargain.
Paisan 06-27-2008, 04:15 AM While on the subject will the CTS-V brakes bolt onto the G8 GT Knuckles?

Even better... The disc itself should fit, you can always make an adapter plate to mount the calipers. Hmmm...
1QUICKAUSSIE 06-27-2008, 10:28 AM The wheels on the G8 GXP are pretty damn close to the CTS, kind of a mix between the HSV wheels and the CTS,

Well putting an adapter plate/bracket on monoblock calipers defeats a large portion of why one puts monoblock calipers on the car in the first place.

OilfieldSS 07-03-2008, 09:21 AM so how about some pics of said cts-v's instead of just these professional press shots?
WhiteCleanG8GT 07-03-2008, 09:36 AM That my friend could possibly lose carsuperfreak's job. GM does not take kindly to photographs of anything.
Got 8? 07-03-2008, 10:19 AM Hell they don't even take kind to him being on here...I know of a guy out in Cali that was on a design team and he got handed his walking papers just for being on a forum. Never said anything about products in detail or anything just to "give GM time..." or "just wait and have patience..." would absolutely NOT talk about anything when people were trying to get something out of him. Then pink slip...
