Hey, Does anyone know if just the magnaflow mufflers are available And if so, who has them?

I've been wondering the same thing. I'm trying to decide if I should wait and save for the Magnaflow catback system or just get mufflers now. I want some better sound, but cant justify dropping $750+ right now for the entire system.

And the research and posts I've read about Flowmaster mufflers is not reassuring - lots of "drone" issues from what I've read.

Sure! Stolen Fox was getting just the muffler and making the axle backs.

I have a set of magnaflows that was on my car for less than 48 hrs. The wife likes the quiet car. A 15mm socket and 5 minutes is all it takes. If you are interested contact me for more info.

I have Magnaflow 14325's on my Grand Prix and Stolen Fox told me they will fit perfectly on a G8.

Are these just the muffler and the short pipe where it connects? If so do you have a picture you can send me?

I don't know about the mufflers, but Jeg's will have the Magnaflow catback system in about 2 weeks and I'm
getting one!

My GT doesn't even sound like a muscle car stock!
Pontiac needs to quit stuffing the mufflers with ****!

Take care,

My wife likes the car quiet too. I won that argument :)

I have SF's magnaflows on my G8. Has about 6K on it. His mufflers have been on for over 3K. They sound terriffic.... escept you will notice the DOD because it drops the sound about an octave. Not a problem above 65 or below 45 but kinda irritating in between. Wife has not complained at all! I'm 62 so may be a bit senile anyway.... Have H pipe, Vector ECM, RotoFab CAI, and many of GRRRR8's mods, including the removal of the manifold insulation. If you can buy a SF system, his bolted up in about 5-10 min. per side as he has the same adaptors to fit into the rear stock rubber insulators. Min came with neat single oval tips. Stock tips could be added in 1/2 hr at any muffler shop from your stock mufflers, if that's important.

Also have pumped up the tires to about 10lbs over stock, just to test the mileage and ride. G8 is a bit more twitchy, but handles the Iowa potholes with very little change in ride quality. I'm in Naples, FL most of the year, and down there the tarmac is smooth as glass, so will probably keep the pressures up. 26 mpg at 70 consistantly.

Rob, I already have Magnaflows. Fairly happy with them but would like just a tad more sound. Not enough to replace them though.

Have only but praise for the Magnaflows, after reading the forums here cut out the large centre muffler and installed an stainless X pipe ( magnaflow brand) and installed an axel back muffler system. Very happy with it and I epect the note will get louder.

BEST PART no drone !!

Had the duel pipes from stock but I dont like them so went for some ovals.
