Currently, G8,GT Premium/sport.....Axel back Flow master 40's, eliminated mixing resonator with straight pipe.....no xpipe...no hpipe, just staight from the cats to each individual muffler.

East Coast Supercharging in New Jersey will be replaceing the stock 2.92 rear gears next week with 3.73 gears. They will then add a CAI and Dyno tune the engine and street tune the Tranny. This I'm told will maximize the use of all available HP and Torque thru the power band of 0-110. Obviously at the cost of some MPG's. Looking for some thoughts on this mod.

actually, it sounds real good....low end growl at idle and no drone at 70....initially had just axel backs...idle better than stock, but at highway speeds DRRRRROOOOOONEEE. once I cut the mixing resonator out and straight piped it, surprising all the negatives went away.
Not looking to just race it, this is really my around the town car and I felt alittle more aggressive rear might keep some of those c6 vettes in their place on the short.

3.73 are a big mistake with a 4.02 1st gear ratio. I would think very hard about that decision. U can run 12s with the factory gear set up.

Have the tuner dial back the Torque Management and hope to god your tranny/driveshafts/rear end does explode.

As GRRRR8 said stay with the 2.92 , go with a convertor instead of the gear change.

Don't do the gears , your G8 will not be any faster .

Thanks guys!! I cancelled my appointment this morning.....Gonna order from Vector....seems like their a proven source. When someone gets a torque convertor let me know the results.....looks like that's gonna be next for me.
