If it makes it slower don't do it.

No way in hell I would do that to a G8. Totally kills the spirit of the car in my opinion.

I guess I'm old too since I didn't know what bagging it meant either.

If your not planning on making the car hop than don't do it.

do it. if you bag yours and park next to the guy who told you not to at a show, believe me they will be looking at yours and not his.

I think that depends largely on what the guy that said not to has done to his car, don't you?

i would love to bag mine, if there was a good shop in my area. the ride quality would be non existant, but it would look sweet driving down the road a little lower, and laid out on the ground while parked. but because there arent any great shops in my area, my car is only a few months old and i dont want to void my warranty just yet. not to mention the road here in south carolina are absolute crap.

look at it this way, you have enough room in the trunk to put a large tank and compressor...

I've had some air ride cars, loved em. Full time bagged car in Missouri is a problem with frozen valve. The companies have some solutions for that, it basically dries the valve up before it can freeze. If I didn't drive my car full time I would definetly like to do it again. Very reliable systems today compared to years ago. Air ride technologies is the leader in this field and they don't have a system yet. I bet they will by the end of the year. You'll see some air ride g8's at Sema this year. You can read some articles in Super Chevy or hot rod that show that the air ride car handles better in most cases. You don't jump air ride, you jump hydralics, they are even close in ride or handling. Here my old ride, drove it 20,000 miles with no problems.

"Any imput would help."

Well, take a new car with a refined version of the BMW 5 series suspension that every road test has praised as "remarkable" and mod it? Why sure! I'd take a blowtorch to the springs too. Maybe some 24" wheels with 345/20R-24XL also.

Yeah! COOL!

Well, you asked! :p

Lots of guys have done plenty of mods on this web site. Pedders track 2, computer tunes, superchargers, wheels/tires, exhaust, tearing the dash up and changing the atari gauges, putting new stereo eqiupment in, its only the beginning for this g8, just look what the aussies have done with it. Since you mentioned the 5 series, lots of people mod those cars. I don't see the difference in a clean set up for air ride. You can always remove it. No cutting on this car once some companies release air struts for it. Plenty of cars out there with air strut type set ups. He just asked for some opinions, some can't give opinions without being a smart ass. Thats whats wrong with all these forums, there not informative the majority of the time, too bad.

Well goodness me! He asked for: "Any opinions? Thoughts? Pros? Cons?" I only gave him 2 out of 4. BTW, who are you and who's yo' daddy?

Proud to be voted #1 smart ass by l0crzn88? or sumthin'? (a dubious honor at best). :p

Jack & coke is great. I could never get past the pisswater look & taste of Bud, but most folks love it. I've got friends with the Kenny/Brandon Bernstein top fuel team that are wondering what's up.
