As all of you know VMS has been a driving force in late model GM performance tuning and modifications. We feel that joining forces with The Car Guys can make a great company even better!
These guys are certainly not newcomers to the business. I have worked with 2 of the 3 for a number of years on quite a few projects.
Kyle Davis – Bachelors Degree from MSU, ASE Master Automotive Technician, State of Michigan Master Technician. Kyle worked for GM as a tech then moving up to engineer spending 11 years in PCM/VCM programming support, engine and transmission calibration, and power train noise/vibration to list a few of his duties. He also had a side job owning a performance chassis company building engines, performance suspensions, wiring and electrical, and body modifications. Kyle also campaigned a car to compete in the NMCA Fastest Street Car Shootout series for 6 years, as well as assisted on numerous others.
Dan Sienkiewicz – Associates Degree in Automotive Technology, ASE Master Automotive Technician, State of Michigan Automotive Master Technician. Dan worked as the Program manager at Wheel To Wheel Powertrain overseeing performance vehicle builds from start to finish. He also managed the engine and chassis dynamometer testing and tuning department where he calibrated (tuned) a wide range of powertrain controllers. This includes factory and aftermarket controllers. He also has built & raced three different race cars in NMCA, NSCA, and Milan Heads Up Series, 1999 - present
Kelley Longwish – Kelley has been drag racing cars since 16 years old. He started his performance career at the Super Shops Performance Store chain in 1990. He then went on to manage several very successful Super Shops Performance stores over the next 8 years. In 1999 Kelley was hired as employee number 3 at the famous performance shop, Wheel To Wheel. Wheel To Wheel became very well known for their LSX performance specialty vehicle builds. Kelley was the “go-to” guy for sales, product information and recommendations, performance package design and content, as well as customer relations.
Not a bad bunch of guys to have around.
I have been looking for some help for quite a while. Vector has become too large for me to try to run with such a small (but great) crew at this point. I spend 10 hours at the shop and then another 4 on my laptop every night just to keep up. For example, we have an excellent G8 GT/GXP Single Turbo kit DONE, yet I have no time to actually release it!
With new partners, Vector will be run just as it has, excellent service, fair prices, free updates for our PowerCal customers…. Nothing changes, same name, location, and employees. Just a larger more productive Vector Motorsports.
I personally will now be focused on new product development. The PowerCal system, G8 Turbo Kit, and “No Converter Necessary” cam kits where my ideas and I have plenty more!
