I just ordered part#12602477 intake manifold to send it out for porting. This part# is the same for 08 Corvette. Since I am going the N/A route I need every last HP. The Gain on the vettes is 15-20 and about the same for torque. I will post pics when it is apart and pics of the intake. Charlie

Yup, same one you already have on your G8 so it should be a simple swap out :) Let us know!

It's virtually the same intake mate except the LS3 one has a different outer shell, other than that it's the same.

The stock untouched intake appears to work very well on the 6.0l motors. Mine doesn't stop making power until 6500 rpm.

Chase the 11.8 it's the quickest NA A6 time in OZ atm

cheers

All of the G8's got The LS3 intake, but I'm not sure if they got the noise abatement shield or not (I think so). The intake manifold part # for the G8 is the same as the LS3 corvette (the part # posted:))

L76 has no shield. L76 uses clip in map sensor instead of bolt in.

L76 is no longer L76 specific. The L76 style ceased to exist before the G8's were imported. They all have the new LS3 style hence having the same part # ;)

If you want to verify this call and ask for the part # for the intake manifold for your car, they will give you the same one you just posted for the LS3 Vette :D

Thats what I did.:) The noise shields were only on the L76, not the LS3 from what I read up on the differences in the LS intakes in general.

Should be about 250 shipped, add another 300ish for porting.

Why not wait a few more weeks and see if the new Weiand / Holley manifold is going to be a winner or not.

Reports say it will be and if it is there will be plenty of L76/Ls3 manifolds for sale cheap.

cheers

It may be local, but it will probably be a specialty company that specializes in plastic intakes. I will post on my final decision. I am still waiting on the intake.

I've been waiting since late April/early May when it was, "a few weeks away from production/sales." Now into July I've all but given up on waiting for it!!:(:whine::drink:
