I took the GXP out yesterday after a new set of RE-11 tires and a more focused alignment were placed on the car and WOW.. Good times.

I was able to squeeze out 1st place in F-stock over a couple of other drivers that were there yesterday, a 2011 Mustang GT and a older model Camaro.

Someone was nice enough to take a few pictures and I thought I would share.

Sounds like fun, congrats on the 1st place! Crazy amount of body roll on the 4th photo. How do you like the RE-11s? Are you running the 245/40/19?

I am running the stock size 245s and so far with less than a week on the new tires I do like them a lot. New they are quieter than the factory equipped tires, and feel like they have quite a bit more grip.

The body roll looks worse than it feels. But I am starting to race this car after selling my last ride - a 1995 Impala SS... So it is all relative. It is funny that Impala was pretty much modified as well as it could be and was actually 300 lbs lighter and had about 50 more HP.. But I am really digging the feel of the GXP, the more advanced suspension design allows for a little more finese. It will be fun exploring it's abilities on the edge and my ability to keep it there through the course.
