: Roto-Fab/Carbon Fiber/Engine Covers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Kevin@Roto-Fab 07-04-2008, 02:56 PM Check it out! The Roto-Fab G8 engine compartment has been dressed out in a carbon fiber finish on all of our products. Pictures can't explain how good these components look. You get the look of carbon fiber combined with the quality construction of parts that Roto-Fab takes great pride in. The carbon fiber finish is a hydrographic coating process to give the carbon fiber look to these parts. We are also looking for suggestions for other finishes for our products. Below are pictures of the carbon fiber parts as well as a Candy Apple Red powder coat finish. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!!! Enjoy the pictures and have a safe and Happy Holiday!!!:us_flag::us_flag::us_flag:

GRRRR8 07-04-2008, 03:06 PM Excellent as always!
Man, I wish I had waited. I love my black radiator cover and CAI tube but DAYAM, these are sweet!!!!!
G8 Ray 07-04-2008, 04:57 PM Very nice guys. I was lucky to be able to preview those last weekend.
unixadm 07-04-2008, 06:15 PM Those would look great on a MGM and hey I own one! All I can say is damnit, because I just bought my Roto-Fab and installed it last week and now there is a better looking version!!!!!
I like that whole set up, but I'd rather it say something like "PONTIAC" with like a smaller "6.0L V8" below it for the engine covers.

Ditto. With smaller RotoFab signature on a bottom corner. Want to advertise the engine first, then the cover manufacturer.
Could even skip the Pontiac. Just engine info.

I also agree. If you could make the RotoFab smaller with more engine details, my wallet would be lighter. Looks goods.

Thanks for the input. We are looking for specific suggestions for font/graphics on the covers. We would like more input on this, then offer several of the most popular color and graphic combinations. While it would be flattering if someone wants "Roto-fab" across their engine cover, we expect most to want something that's a little more vehicle or engine specific.:)
BlownChevy 07-05-2008, 10:10 AM make sure you have a set to clear that Magna Charger you are getting:wink2:

Definately say Pontiac... maybe the 6.0L badges that the Holden's SS have, use that text for the engine size.
Although, I think I'd be happy with just Pontiac
I removed my engine shield, I need covers ASAP. One stop shopping, I want the CAI and covers. You can put Rotofab at the corners if you'd like.
drglock 07-06-2008, 10:04 PM In the last photo there, is the Rad cover actually Orange? Like IOM? Or is it red and the camera just messed up the colors. Cuz I would be interested in seeing how an IOM set of covers would look.
Those of us still waiting on our gov checks for mod money are dying here....any plans to offer a package deal of CAI, rad cover and Eng covers? Love the stuff you are making....cant wait to buy some of it!!

All of the covers you are referring to are candy apple red. The lighting sometimes makes the red appear orange. We can have covers painted body color though. We can also sell you unpainted parts if you have your own painter that does your work. I think the carbon fiber look against the orange would be pretty cool too.
Nice looking peices. I would like the layout to look something like this with pontiac in place of corvette, g8 instead of ls7 and 6.0 instead of 7.0:

We will also be offering painted plenum covers with a core exchange. Feel free to share your thoughts on color combinations and suggestions!!:driving:

Thanks! A polished blower would look good in between those carbon fiber engine covers. We're looking forward to fitting all of our components to the Magnuson kit!:driving:
Thanks,

GXPaycheck 07-09-2008, 08:28 AM I KNEW the inlet elbow had been done in CF! Looked pretty good in the pics. Got a price for the CF version of the pipe for those of us that already have the CAI?
Killawhale89 07-20-2008, 11:44 PM Very nice

Right now we have nearly $100 for the CF and clear coat. We are hoping the price will come down as our volume increases. We have sold all of the pieces we had coated with the exception of one radiator cover. In addition, we have several pieces on backorder that we need to get coated. Like many other things, some people just decide they've got to have it and they buy it!!! We are having some plenum covers coated with our next order. They should look awesome against a shiny set of our engine covers!

Let me know if that happens. This is the 2nd "sponsor" that I have tried to order from
with no response. I just can't beleive these folks go to the trouble of showing what they are selling, and then don't bother to let you place an order. I have been trying to get custom floor mats from Custom for 4 weeks now!
Sweet Jesus! If my credit cards worry you, I will even send a money order. Just simply answer the phone messages (206) 383-3043 and take my order!
Good grief!

I'm glad to hear you like them. We're having a lot of fun making parts for the G8 and it's great to start seeing some of them on cars. After a day in the shop, it's a great feeling to jump on "the board" and see the results of our work! Thanks for your business.:)

drglock 08-02-2008, 10:59 PM Sweet mother why didn't you tell me about the glossy plenum cover? Great, here I go digging into my vacation fund again...... :)
