I've been reading so many posts about the G8 radio, XM, video, audio ,etc. that my brain hurts. I THINK I would like to connect my XM receiver to the "rear audio" input mentioned in the owner's manual. I think it is a connector located on the passenger's side of the unit on 3 pins in an otherwise unused connector.

Is this right?

Does anybody have instructions on how to access this connector? I know the glove box and some panels need to be removed but hope somebody can tell me how they come off so that I don't damage anything.

There wasa post that had the part number of the mating connector and pins but I couldn't find it. anybody have those numbers?

thanks guys.
Ed

I don't know where you get the connector, I guess I haven't seen that thread. But to access the back of the radio, on the passenger side of the console, the upper piece will pull out towards the passenger side and then slide towards the firewall. You can pull the lower piece down and the main side piece will come off. You can see the side of the radio where the connector is. I'd like to have a connector as well and make use of the rear aux so I can plug the XM in there and then the wife can still use the front aux for her iPod.
