Actually, the driver did pretty fair for a fresh car (stock, not broken in). Remember, the GTO was heavily modded, and edged him out by .38sec and 2MPH?

Modded, not "heavily" modded. Heavily modded GTOs run low12s or in the 11s. If you are a GTO guy it is basic bolt-ons. If you are in a MOPAR and behind the GTO it is heavily modded. LOL

Once some good drivers get enough seat time with them, figure out where to eliminate the heat soak and launch the car they will probably be down in the 13.2-13.30 area with the ATCO cars going 12.9 (predictions ofcoruse).

BUT

Mostly you will see runs from the 13.50-13.90 range from the inexperienced just like many many many did I say many? LS2 GTOs still run today.

The heck with the challenger, have you seen the car it's huge. The Camaro costs thousands less and looks way better, and it's lighter and has a better chassis. :hail: CAMARO.

More like tens of thousands...
MSRP nearly 10g more, before Challenger Markup (usually around 5-8k more).

I crushed a Challenger with my 2002 TA (CAI, Exhaust, 3.73s that's it!), had almost 2 cars on him by 65mph.

They just aren't that quick...gotta be running low 13s otherwise the SRT8s gonna look bad compared to GXP, Camaro SS etc.

That sounds about right. The biggest bang-for-the-buck mod is the tune for the SRT-8's via handheld tuner. They already breathe pretty good from the factory. Other mods are just for sound effect :).
