Any G8 Related events planned at Grattan Raceway in Michigan?

I've heard so many horror stories about that place that I have no desire to run there. Potholes on the track, very crappy facilities, just not a nice place. I have no firsthand experience with it, however.

Do you live near there? Gingerman is a much nicer place and it's not too far from Grattan. A few of us are planning to go there this summer.

I think they were working on redoing the track if I am not mistaken but I have never been there myself. Looks like it would be fun though. Wonder if they have a test n tune day like the drag strips

I'm only 10-15 min away but I have never been there. Sometimes I can hear the track from my mother in laws house. I may investigate this a little more.

I've been to Grattan about 7 times with 2 FTD's. Grattan would be a wonderful track, if they sank some money into it, it needs a lot of work to bring it up to say, Gingerman status. Grattan seems to have gotten stuck in the 1970's, and never advanced past that era.
I've ran Gingerman about 20 times and it is a sweet track, VERY safe and fun.
Gingerman, in South Haven, MI, holds test and tune days on Wednesdays sometimes in the summer, nice place to get to know your G8, plan on going there a couple times this summer.

We should have a G8 party at Gingerman. Cntryclub and I were planning on going to Gingerman this summer but don't have it on the calendar yet.
