So, on saturday I raced a guy with a 99 fbody a4 with a couple of bolt ons. We raced 3 times, once from a 20, a 40 and from a dig. Starting out on the 20 roll in M1, I put a car on him and held it off till 90mph. 2nd race from a 40 roll he put a car on me up to 80mph but I began to pull him in before we shut it down at 90 again. Last race, we raced from a stoplight, tc off loaded the rpms up to 1500rpms and launched hard with minimal spin. I managed to put a car on him again and held it off to 65 where I shut it down due to a red light... all in all im pretty much happy with my bolt ons and how the G performed against an f body :)...

Pretty good. I wouldn't get used to it, though.
Back when my 2000 Trans Am was stock (well, it had an air filter), I dynoed it on a Mustang dyno. It put down 322rwhp and 358rwtq. And, it's a lighter car.
But, it's a close enough match to where it'll fall on the driver. So, in that sense - you beat him driver-to-driver!

Because the LS1s in the Fbodies were underrated. My 305 HP rated LS1 made 305 to the wheels stock with an A4.

It wasn't uncommon for some '02's that were putting out 315+ at the rear wheels.
Dhesso, don't get wrapped up in what GM marketed the vehicle as. As mentioned, LS1's in the F-Body were underrated so as not to show up the Vette. However in reality, all LS1 powered vehicles put down about the same at the rear wheels, which when translated up to crank HP, were all in the 340 - 350 vicinity.
My stock '98 which was "rated" at 305 CRANK HP, put down 291 & 293 at the rear wheels, converting up at a 15% loss to the rear wheels puts my crank hp at about 340.

Plus, mine is somewhat of an oddball. If I remember correctly (going back to discussions from 2002 or so, when these things were new), people were getting variances of 40hp stock. Now, a lot of that is dyno variances. So, I'd say 15-20hp variance is normal.
My hp numbers are on the higher side of normal. But, my tq numbers are way high. I don't know why, and none of the tuners I've talked to have an explanation. But, it's shown up all three times I've been on the dyno. And, on the track (road course), I've stayed perfectly even with a C6 Z06.
Oh, BTW, if I remember correctly, some F-bodies actually dynoed higher than Vettes. The transversely mounted transfer case, plus a beefy propeller shaft combined to have about a 20% driveline loss.
