So I just got done debadging (very easy) and have my surfaces washed clean and waxed.

I'm ready to put on a couple "V8 6.0 Litre" emblems I got from my buddy in Brisbane, but want to make sure I do it correctly.

Do these need to be heated up in order to stick? Or do I just peel off the paper backing and stick it on the car?

TIA - i just dont want to screw this up and figure its a one time shot once I peel off the paper backing. I checked one of the corners and it doesn't quite feel sticky enough to stick on its own.

Make sure to clean the area with prepsol or some other surface prep (just to make sure this is no residual wax ect). Then attach masking tape to the top of the emblem and "tape" it into place and check it for alignment. After you are satisified with the alignment simply remove the backing and rock the emblem back into position using the tape and firm pressure.

It also helps to measure where you want to put them, and put a piece of tape to align them to.
I had badging done by the painter at my dealership and he tried to eyeball it! I gave him a ration of **** for that, as it cost me an extra day.

how big are these emblems? would it look weird to get rid of the GT on the trunk and replace it with the 6.0Litre V8 badges?

i tried to post my pics but the memory on this site is to small go to g8gt.com i was able to post them there the smallest things stands out.

It should fit. The letters are not as tall as the GT letters and the 6.0 litre part is thin

You can get them off Ebay (just search 6.0 Litre emblem), but they are super expensive for just a couple plastic pieces.

I got mine from a guy I work with who is based out of our Melbourne, AU office (he has a friend who got the hook up from Holden). No better price than free!
